If you didn’t know, now you know! The Fury of Five freight train is rolling again with their follow-up single, IYKYK (Feel the Reign Remix), to their March 2023 release, “Half Past Revenge” out through Upstate Records.
Sticking to the same formula as their 90’s vibe, mixing hardcore, rap & metal, Fury of Five continues to be an unrelenting force in the modern heavy music scene. In 1996 Fury of Five dropped a song called Want It All and then did a remix rap version with Ant Money from E-Town Concrete. The song wowed the hardcore scene and is now a well-loved and respected classic.
Earlier this year, Fury of Five released their first single, Feel The Reign/ IYKYK (Half Past Revenge, 2023) which was written with a remix in mind. For the IYKYK remix, Fury of Five recruited family and friends, Ant Money (E-Town Concrete), Shrine B (No Holds Barred), Mad Joe (Wisdom In Chains) as featured guest vocals and Fury of Five’s Jay Fury’s son, Ari Fury for the immediately memorable hook. Mark Aayu & Len Carmichael (Landmine Studios) collabbed and produced the backing beat to make IYKYK the grimey rap metal vibe that Fury of Five has been notorious for. And now you know!
lyrics
IYKYK (Feel The Reign Remix)
(Stikman) Yo, you know we had to do the remix
Shrine B, Ant Money, Mad Joe, Ari Fury
Let’s go
You know, you know
That I can’t let shit go on my own
(we tell it like it is motherfucker, they know)
And I can’t let shit go on my own
I grinded to the top
You stuck in the middle
don’t care where ya at
Or where you dwindle
I live this for real
And your just a lame
Try to cancel this
And feel the reign
I rose from the gutter
Perfected my craft
I bring it from the heart
You whole style is trash
Age is just a number
I’ll die for the cause
I put Jersey on the map
Rough rugged and raw
You know the beginnings
How it all went down
We Beat’em so bad
They changed their pronouns
It Is what it is
I am who I am
I’m a legend in the game
Homey this is God’s plan
I meant what I said
You know what’s up
I’m definitely the type
To call your bluff
Level up or shut up
Let see what your about
Come test the old man
Fuck around and find out
You know, you know
That I can’t let shit go on my own
(you want to see us fall
But we stay at the top)
And I can’t let shit go on my own
(Shrine B) Distributor of pain
You should stay in tune
